My name is Shannette Barbee you can email me at
Shannettebarbee@gmail.com or post a comment and ill return your
comment or message as quickly as possible. Im a breeder, locator, rescuere and advisor as well contact me anytime as we get yorkies of all colors shapes and
sizes.
I have been a Yorkshire Terrier Breeder for At least ten years. I'm happily married 3 children grown. One in Marines came home from 13 months in Iraq in
january. And three precious granchildren. Im currently employed by 7 yorkies in our home. All of which are not ours. One is my son's ofcourse.Pebbles, bb,
and my son's dog onyx are not breeders. But they require my services just the same.
My biggest ambition is to Help ACR bring the the Other cololors of Yokies, by breeding stock using ACR requiments. As to get the so called OFF COLOR Yorkshire
Terriers that the kennel clubs are allowing Registration and Breeding and Registering of these litters for Breeding. But are not allowed in AKC conformation as
of now. Because of YCTA (Yorshire Terrier Club of America)
YTCA has decided that they will only allow the black and gold/tan and they must break Blue Steal by age 3 i believe is there new standard.
NO so called OFF Colors Are Allowed at all its now Disquilification. So even if you have a black and gold and he or she never breaks they will never get grand
champion because of this rule And they do not provide any information on what quality is for the other colors. The only K-9 Registry that has set in place for
these off colors such as Tri, red, chocolate, cream are ACR The American Canine Registry.
Without standards and guidlines for Breeders, Adopters, and ofcourse Judges. I feel this is a travesty. How is anyone to know the quality of the pet they have
adopted without proper guidlines to go by.
Thus This is my mission to gather as many Breeders and Enthusiest as possible for our cause. Welcomeing all Breed lovers to come forward with any info or to
give any info we have discovered. As well as setting up Breeding Programs to get General Health test such as hips petellas and eye's certified. All so
called off colors should have there breeders and Potentially Breedable Pups done along with DNA to keep records correct and to show any related Health problems
with these Colors. And by doing so we can breed out the unhealthy into the Healthy dogs we are Breeding today.
This is a mission of belief and cosistancy. If we do n ot breed these colors and try to breed out the bad lines to get as close to the original Yorkie as
possible , we could fail them tremedously maybe even to extinction.
These colors were murded for years because of the YTCA refused to eccept them so Clubs such as AKC , UKC and more did not recognize them either and most have
never seen one
I believe if you have a passion for a Breed then you should do your best to improve any Health Problems in those lines but to be gifted with so many colors is
a plus. More Choices of the same dog such as poodles, poms, labs and so many others.
AS well as we have this problem.
People are being charged rediculous amounts of money without any of it going to better the breed. and no place but ACR now to get or even know what standards
to look for in those colors.
This to me is wrong. I believe you get what you pay for.
I'm open to suggestions as well as My friend Kelly working with me from KB Yorkie's. And Miss Nancy Anderson of the Biewer Association , who has gotten
the Beiwers now listed as a New Breed. And this breed will soon be in AKC AND UKC in the very near future. As well as other Large Show Clubs
ACR has standards set in place for these red, brown and cream colored yorkies, Same as they did for the Biewer it is only a matter of time before they are
allowed into the conformation shows as well. And we are in the beginning stages of setting foundation Stock to begin working with them to help. The more
quality stock we can show them the faster we can get into the other kennel clubs. ACR is alot stricter on health and just the whole quality of the shows and
breeding.
Im happy to work with them as i have recieved my packet and read it. Nancy and ACR took a dream i had for years and are turning into a REALITY for us all.
NO matter what color your yorkie is ACR has a standard even the tri that is not allowed to be called Biewer unless German descent can be proven through
lineage.
Hope to meet you all. There's no bashing on our forum. If anything is said to you " out of the way about owning, breeding for quality, or even haveing
pups for sale. Dont hesitate to contact me, kelly or sweetnikky and ofcourse Jacklynn we wont tolerate it our forum is for The Other Yorkies. not just the
standard YTCA lines.
Feel free to join our forum for help with anything or to be of help
if we dont know the answer our research as long as no cost to us is no cost to you.
And we do have litters from time to time through private home breeders Not multi dog kennels that are enhancing these lines. We already have a Chocolate line
inbeded with the Estego Line which we will continue to Enhance as the line gets through the generations.
Please feel free to read our guideline's and post your comments or contact me personally. You can do this through here or one of my sights as well. Here
trying to help people realize there are Standards For All Our Babies
This is a pic of me showing the first choc ever shown with UKC she won second because there were no standard set in there books for her color. Everything else
was perfect the judge wanted to give me first but NOT knowing the standard for the color she was forced to give me second place. WE took it with a smile. As we
were told for years that no chocs could be shown in conformation. Well i did then shortly afterwards YTCA banned all of colors from showing with there
standards and even are taking out the black and gold/tans. We cannot let them take over the future of the dogs we have put so much time and energy into saving.
With ACR's help we intend fully on coming right back as a new breed of yorkie Not a yorkshire Terrier YTCA seems to have a tight grip on that name. So
simple Yorkie will do for us. Just like the Biewer Yorkie the off colors will get different names as well im sure to get them in as a whole new line of
yorshire lineage.
Welcome to the millinium dogs
Also feel free to check out our images and see some of the babies we have either raised, rescued , bred, trained and co-own for breeding stock, Those are on
our breeding plans.
If your interested in Starting a Breeding plan and Dual Registering Your other color yorkie Please contact me or Nancy Anderson or American Canine Registry.
Aslo Shows can be promoted privatly or by clubs. 25 ACR registered dogs a place with bathrooms and concesion stand and ACR will bring there judges and
Equiptment To judge local dogs . This is especially great for Seeing if you are even close to the standards which will be set in place when they Advance to the
National show Clubs.
We hope to have one in the near charlotte nc area soon. Anyone wanting to help with that can contact me as well. Also anyone wanting there color showed in the
ACR's Shows I know i would love to get to take some of mine. Get in touch with us We are thinking of doing a fundraiser and taking a trip to An ACR
show. Wood be nice to have more than just a few dogs from our group. Even if you dont have a yorkie, they eccepts many breeds from many registries.
